My  homage to Hitch.

It has being one month since the passing of atheistic gladiator and political charlatan Christopher Hitchens. Mr Hitchens for 4 decades has being a figure of love and hate, starting of like myself as a Trotskyite, on the far left of politics he evolved to become a cheerleading pompous of the the far right neo-conservative movement in America following the attacks of 9/11, In this article I will give my opinions on Hitchens from my admiration and respect for him on his religious principles and intellectualism on theology to my absolute loathing of him for selling out his political principles of Marxism and becoming a right wing ego-maniac. I mean no offence to his memory but as Hitch done with Mother Teresa, I will not hold back from my views regardless of what other think. For that personality trait I thank Hitch for inspiring it in me.

When it comes to religion bashing there was no greater intellectual advocate than Hitch, A man of great wit and intelligence who could brush aside any argument of creationism or the defence of religion as easy as he could brush the dust from his old Marxist beret.I’ve watched numerous debates between Christopher Hitchens the numerous creationists he destroyed intellectually and I must say as an atheist it gave me  immense joy as I listened to the intellectual truism of Hitchens and his loathing for religion in all forms, I would hang on every word as he eloquently made his case of anti-theism. Hitch was never one to censor himself he was one who always and a great narcissistic trait of self promotion and attention which he done through his controversial words, especially with quotes like this on Mother Teresa  “Mother Teresa was not a friend of the poor. She was a friend of poverty. She said that suffering was a gift from God. She spent her life opposing the only known cure for poverty, which is the empowerment of women and the emancipation of them from a livestock version of compulsory reproduction. His controversial remarks on the death of Jerry Falwell and his bashing of Islam made him the leftist baby of the mainstream media, always ready to debate religion Hitch gave the world some memorable speeches, and by himself rattled the very foundation of the Western Christian church as he ploughed through every spokesman they flung at him.

On the beatification to sainthood of Mother Teresa the Catholic Church needed a Devil’s Advocate to argue against her being sainted, well there was only one man for that job, that’s right the Hitchmister, He famously played Devil’s advocate against her to which he described as being like “representing the Evil One, as it were pro bono”. 

When it came to debating religion Hitchens was the best in the “business” A man of great charisma, eloquence, wit, intelligence and fierce passion for this I respect and admire him and for this he will be greatly remembered for generations to come and his books will continue to sell like he wanted.

Now here is why I call him a political charlatan(for which he is), From the early 60s till the mid 90s Christopher was a radical! A man of the Trotsky left who espoused socialism as its best, He spent 30 years of his life defending the oppressed, opposing war, railing against the corporations and politicians of America calling them what they were scum and conmen. He was a loved friend of the left, a man all defenders of freedom and opponents of war would happily call a friend and comrade and vice-versa. Back then Hitchens was politically knowledgeable and focused on politics not religion. It wasn’t till the mid 90s or later that Hitch became a radical atheist and this is when his understanding of politics began to diminish and he became a political charlatan and hate figure of many of his long time friends. You see when hitch became religiously obsessed he began to see politics through an anti-religious lens and this is his downfall. With the aftermath of the September 11^th attacks hitch turned his back on his principles and friends and became a right-wing cheerleader for the neoconservative warmongering administration of George Walker “Texas Ranger” Bush. Hitch supported the illegal invasion or Iraq because he said he couldn’t stand by while Saddam Hussein was in power, but this is nonsense because for years in the 70s Mr. Hitchens stood silently by and once seemed to supported the regime of Hussein, once saying in a 1976 article for The New Statesman about Iraq “…. And it has a leader — Saddam Hussein — who has sprung from being an underground revolutionary gunman to perhaps the first visionary Arab statesman since Nasser.” The reason he supported the Iraq war was not because of outing Saddam but because he took it as an opportunity to give Islam a good beating to which he loved to do.

Hitchens defended The Bush Administrations illegal war activities  in such a pompous manner, He praised The Bush Administration‘s response to Hurrican Katrina even though it is widely accepted the Bush Administration failed in their response to Katrina, He went on to support the re-election of George W Bush in the 2004 US presidential election, He would speak of anti-war activist with such disgusting disrespect, especially when you consider most of the people involved in anti-war activities where once very close friends of his a year or 2 beforehand.

Hitchens taught he knew it all, so much so as to go and disrespect such great minds and his former hero’s Chomsky and Vidal, by claiming they are crackpots, anti-modernists, cowardly and harness facts in a very vulgar way, What an insult to two great independent thinkers of which Hitchens thinks he’s better than. When the Iraq war started Hitchens cheered it as loud as he could, praising Bush and the other Fascist’s in America for their interventionist views and actions, even if their actions cause the death of 600,000+ people. Hitch refused in his last days to accept that American policy was responsible for these deaths , going as far to say something on the lines of , if a radical Islamist blows himself up in an Iraqi market then It has nothing to do with America, But Hitch is being a warmongering ignoramus when he says such nonsense because anybody with a real understanding of war and politics will tell you that the atmosphere for suicide bombings didn’t just appear one morning in Iraq, the situation that allows suicide bombings was created not when America invaded Iraq(which also played a part) but decades beforehand when America decided to get militarily and politically involved in Middle Eastern politics, like their support of the racist terrorist regime in Israel to their support of Arab tyrants like Mubarak, The Shah of Iran or the royal family in Saudi Arabia which violates human rights on a massive scale, this kind of support is what created the situation that now allows the breading of anti-American views in the Arab world and ultimately the use of suicide bombing as a weapon by the poverty stricken people of the Iraqi insurgency, it is these facts that Hitchens ignored when he would spout his neo-con propaganda to his followers who swallowed it foolishly.

Here is an example of how Hitchens in his later years let his anti-religious obsession blind him from the reality of American responsibility in current Arab political instability, I once watch an episode of Real Time With Bill Maher in which Mr.Hitchens and George Galloway debated Bin Laden, In it Hitch put a religious twist on reality and said that it was Islam and its fascist tendency’s that created Osama Bin Laden, to which Galloway rightly so disputed and said it wasn’t religion that it was “America who created Bin Laden by supporting him politically, militarily and financially during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan when Bin Laden was a leader of the Mujahedeen”. These are well known facts that Hitch most definitely knows but refused to recognise them even if he did so in the past.

So Let’s be realistic Christopher Eric Hitchens although a great mind and orator discredited himself in his last years when he sold out on his principles and became a media darling earning a small fortune from it, he chose money and wealth over principle and reality and for that I will never forgive him. Yes he was brilliant on religion and disproving it with such charisma but he was wrong on politics and most importantly he was wrong to alienate himself and lose his closest friends by choosing to support illegal wars committed by the oppressors of humanity, this is something he despised a few years beforehand only to become a proponent of war and murder for which he rightfully suffered alienation, He insulted his former close friends and comrades in such a way that it is of no wonder he became hated by the left. I once admired everything about Hitch but no longer, not since he sold himself to the corporate whores so he could gain attention and feel special. Noam Chomsky once said “If you think you are a radical and your getting mainstream attention then you should begin to question if you really are a radical”, Hitchens took himself as a radical and he was on religion and he was politically 20years ago but sadly in his last years he became a mainstream darling and anti-radical, his views were deemed by the establishment as acceptable because they supported the Administrations propagandistic views. This is why I say “Hitchens: from Radical to Charlatan” because It is exactly what he was, a former anti-war Trotskyite who became a right wing neo-con war monger.

This Article follows in the tradition of Christopher Hitchens, of denouncing someone soon after death for what they really were so I expect Hitchens apostles to accept it without insult as I mean no offence.

This will be part personal outrage part journalism.

So today I awoke to find some more news floating around that smelt to me as coming 100% from the arse of an ignoramus, So I went to Google and wallah I was correct, apparently the ignoramus in question is the Pope (again). So this time, for the 500th time, the Pope is concerned for humanity’s future if lgbt people are allowed to marry and express their deep love for one another. This in any rationally minded conversation would be laughed out of the debate ,he says same sex marriage would “threaten human dignity and the future of humanity itself,” such ridiculous rationality should be scorned upon by any normal sane person or society.

Right so lets try and understand this, Benedict 16 feels that two men or two women being allowed to marry would be such a travesty it would range on the scale of danger to that of nuclear weapons, War, Capitalism or rampant child abuse in religious denominations. Such a view is ridiculous and everyone knows it, but because Josef Ratzinger says it then it has credibility. So I ask why do we give this man credibility? he heads the worlds largest criminal enterprise which over the century’s has raped, beaten, murdered, starved, and destroyed the life’s’ of millions of young children, women and also men, some children as young as 7months where left to die by this institution through starvation and beatings. In any moral society such a man would be scorned upon, him and his outdated views of life and society.

Lets look at a few things The Pope in said in his speech, firstly he said in relation of marriage that “Pride of place goes to the family, based on the marriage of a man and woman,”, right lets get this clear a family is a grouping of people through bloodline or social ties, it does not require a female and male couple to create a family, it simply needs a grouping of people, But lets take the ignoramus’s view that family is man and woman and cant exist with a same-sex couple, If that was correct then what about all these gay couples around who have either had children through surrogate mother or adoption ? surely these family’s couldn’t exist and would destroy themselves in a second like two atoms trying to fit into the same space?, Nooo! The fact is children of gay couples are mentally and physically no different than the children of a straight couple or single parent family, So gay family’s pose no treat to the “traditional family values”

Ok so  look at another part of his speech , Benedict, said, “This is not a simple convention, but rather the fundamental cell of every society,” he continued. “Consequently, policies which undermine the family threaten human dignity and the future of humanity itself.” , I think it is time Benedict woke up and smelt the daisies , it has being a good 20 years since his views of society was actually societies views!

Society has moved on we are more educated, more tolerant and in less need of morons like the Pope having credible opinions. He also has some audacity to claim anyone or anybody is a treat to humanity when you consider the organisation he heads, I stated before they have murdered and raped millions of men women and children, the current pope himself is a criminal , when he was Archbishop of Freising he helped conceal the sexual and physical abuse of children by certain priests, He also played a role when he was prefect for doctrine of the faith, in trying to conceal the emerging evidence of sexual and physical abuse of children and women around the world which was emerging through the 90s. This man has no right to judge anyone’s morals or how society works, what he says should be scorned upon and laughed out of the debate, Any other person would be so why not The Pope.

It is 2012 we no longer need uneducated ignorant baboons being taking serious when it comes to  social commentary , the people we should be listening to are the likes of scholars Noam Chomsky, Norman Finkelstein, Tariq Ali, Christopher Hitchens or comedians like Bill Hicks, Dara O’Briain, or scientists like Michio Kaku, Stephen Hawking, Sylvester James Gates and so on . these are the real credible social commentators , the pope has no right to be taking serious when all he does is preach well known nonsense which is Christianity. When will we rid ourselves of that social rule which says “you repeat a lie long enough it beciome truth” ? because all the pope is doing is repeating a well known lie so it is about time we stop taking him serious. Im glad he said gay marriage is a treat to humanity because if we know anything about the Pope it’s that he is always wrong.

Pr.Finkelstein

Pr.Finkelstein is a political scientist, author and human rights activist from New  York City. The son of Maryla Huyst Finkelstein and Zacharias Finkelstein both survivors of the holocaust who spent the war in the Warsaw Ghetto, Majdanek and Auschwitz.

Although Jewish Pr.Finkelstein has spent all of his adult life championing the Palestinian Cause and is considered one of the leading experts on the Palestine/Israel conflict .  A downfall of his anti-establishment views and his support for Palestine has resulted in him loosing his job at DePaul University, a result of pressure from members of the Israeli Lobby.

Recently a film was made about his life called “American Radical-The trials of Norman Finkelstein” detailing in mass travels around the world lecturing on the conflict and also detailing aspects of his personal life.

 YoungPhilosopher89- PLO leaders have recently gone to the UN to seek recognition of statehood along the 1967 borders, In your opinion what chance have they got of achieving this goal considering America and Israel position of rejection-ism ?

Pr.Finkelstein-It’s unlikely they can achieve anything substantial without mobilizing the Palestinian people and their supporters abroad.  Unfortunately, the PLO is incapable of doing this, in no small part because it knows that, if mobilized, the Palestinian people will get rid of them, just as elsewhere in the Arab world since the Arab spring.

YoungPhilosopher89- A few months back their was an announcement that the PLO and Hamas where going to start working closely together for the greater good of Palestinian freedom, do you think this mutual harmony can last or is there too much division in Palestinian politics currently that it is inevitably going to divide the cause again?

Pr.Finkelstein-I do not know much about internal Palestinian politics, so I cannot give an authoritative answer.  But so long as the PA collaborates with Israel and the US, it’s hard to imagine how they can reach any agreement with Hamas.

YoungPhilosopher89-We have recently seen Netanyahu announce the building of thousands of new settlements in the occupied territory which goes against UN law, Do you think a Palestinain state can include the settlements or will Israel do everything in its power to build more and inevitably annex them into a future Israel?

Pr.Finkelstein-It’s still possible to create a real Palestinian state.  The problem is political, not physical.  The Palestinians proposed a map in 2008 which would enable Israel to keep 63% of the settlers (310,000) on 1.9% of the West Bank, that could be exchanged in a land swap for 1.9% of Israeli land of comparable quality.  It was a reasonable proposal.

YoungPhilosopher89-With the current positive coverage of the “Arab Spring” do you think their is now a big shift in western societies mentality towards the Palestinian cause and if so will it play much of a role in influencing the international community’s pressure on Israel to restart a Peace Process ?

Pr.Finkelstein-Western public opinion was turning against Israel before the Arab Spring.   It’s been a slow, incremental process of enlightenment.  Right now, Israel’s standing is very low in the world, falling into the same category as Iran, North Korea and Pakistan.

WHY

The current capitalist centralised system of government doesn’t work! It is in essence a system to exploit and dominate the working classes and only rule in favour of the powerful and rich. In the current system all aspects of society are controlled by a centralised government which although elected by the people, it refuses to work on behalf of the people, Instead it is a place of unprecedented corruption and evil where its residents, those in power, Feel they are unaccountable to the people because they do not have to face the people, Instead they only have to face the rich and powerful so are in essence only responsible to the rich and powerful.

“All government in essence,” says Emerson “is tyranny.” It matters not whether it is government by divine right or majority rule. In every instance its aim is the absolute subordination of the individual”-Emma Goldman

Centralised government essentially is a Fascist dictatorship with a media friendly face! It denies the majority a say in the decisions affecting society by writing, forwarding and accepting law and policy at its own will and at Powers demand without public involvement or consent. In centralized governments honesty and non-hypocrisy are a rare personal trait amongst its habitants, instead with help of the capitalist mainstream media, centralised governments deny the public the truth in such matters of War, Economy and Politics by keeping important information private even when the people should and must know this information. In America in the last 50 years, centralised government and the mainstream media have dragged the world’s population into countless Wars by manufacturing consent amongst the public by not releasing the facts to public knowledge and by only reporting the information that benefits their case for War and mass murder.

Centralized government and its sleazy shadowy allies in the financial market have plunged the world into financial chaos because they were more interested in making and stealing billions of dollars from the working people than making the economy a safe stable market, and then when the bubble burst they simply turned to the working people and once again exploited them by forcing the public into paying billions more for something the public had no responsibility for, They also used public money to bail out there banking buddy’s, Whom happen to still be extremely rich and powerful whilst the working people are much poorer than recent decades and millions still die from starvation brought on by poverty!

Plus as an Anarchist I also see Centralised government as an authority, and a main teaching within the anarchist school of thought is that authority is naturally unjustified and if it can’t justify its existence then it must be dismantled, And I think it is obvious that capitalist centralized government has failed to justify its existence so in order to advance human freedom it must be dismantled in favour of a new system.

ALTERNATIVE

My view of the best, most fair, most democratic and most advanced system is Anarcho-Syndicalism! A-S favours dismantling the current system of centralised government and installing what I call a “ladder of representation” whereas social representation is federalized from the bottom up starting with community councils, chaired by workers, community leaders, scholars and union leaders, all working to improve their communities, workplaces and life’s! Then there would be regional Councils with representatives from each community chairing the council and each having an equal community vote on policy.It would go step by step like this up to a national level, where an assembly committee of councils would be installed to represent the communities on a national level in such things as foreign policy etc.

In an A-S society the company’s owned by millionaires and billionaires and government would be put into the control of the workers whom currently work for these companies, this would be run just like a community council as in the workers would all have an equal vote on the decisions affecting the company, The workers would benefit greatly by abandoning the old system of wage slavery and installing a pay system whereas the workers are paid the full amount for their labour, all workers would be paid the same rate of production this will ensure equal control, no hierarchy and consistent production! Over time and by making a profit in a safe market economy, these companies could expand giving employment to many more people, It will also greatly reduce poverty and class gap. I must say these committees will not be councils of power they will simply be instruments of power, as in the people will have the power and will use the committees as instruments to use their power at each level of society from community to national. War would be made Illegal and no committees at any level will have the power to declare war or any kind of aggression on any level of its own society or a society abroad! Now remember I see all societies using this system, it is only when this system is global that war will end, so till then we will have to have a military for safety but the ultimate aim is to make military irrelevant in this new world!

Without capitalism every nation on earth has the natural resources for its population survive and prosper on, What A-S calls for is that society comes together and harness’s these natural resources for its own benefit, instead of selling these resources to foreign multinational corporations just so a handful of people can get extremely rich whilst the majority are in poverty and starvation through no ownership of their natural resources, as the current system allows!

We would simply use the shell of the old system to create this new world! We would continue in our technological advancements but the decisions on such matters would be in the control of the people. We would make our societies nuclear free, anti-war, a society of free love and individual freedom. A society where every child is entitled to free education of the highest and mentally free standard , where every person is entitled to free healthcare, free housing etc. And this can all easily be achieved by pulling together as a society and taking back the ownership of our natural resources! After all if we can give a trillion dollars globally to save the criminal bankers then we can easily make an Anarcho-Syndicalist system work and be much better and advanced that the current system on exploitation and domination!

It is time society takes its head out of the sand and begins to face the reality that the current system can’t continue because it is abusive and unjustified. We need to start a serious debate about new alternatives for this modern 21^st century way of life> We need a system that is equal across the board, a society where the people have the power and not a small amount of rich, corrupt, upper class goons whom have achieved nothing but global misery.

Article In Defence Of LGBT Rights

It’s being a few months since New York legislators’ passed into law the full recognition and legalisation of same-sex marriage, This has resulted in a new international enthusiasm amongst the LGBT community and support groups to pressure world governments into legalising same-sex marriage and other rights that are denied to the LGBT community like the illegality in most nations if not all, of homosexual and bisexual men donating blood or the institutionalised Homophobia that persists in most nations education system, Military, Politics, Media and so on. In this article I will be venting my views on the Bigots, The liars and the misled whose ignorance collaborates to discriminate against me and other members of the LGBT community. I will also give my short opinion on where we have gone wrong in our struggle and what we should do to advance our cause.

I like a lot of LGBT people are annoyed every time I turn on my TV or read a newspaper and see some ignorant politician or social commentator giving the impression that I am inferior to them because I refuse to accept violations of my human rights, What right has anyone in society got to tell another member of society that they are inferior because they refuse to accept violations of their individual rights? , These ignorant baboons openly promote hatred and ignorance towards LGBT people by saying we are a threat to society because if we are allowed to marry we will damage heterosexual marriage which will ultimately destroy the morality of society! I know I know, It’s almost hard to keep a straight face when you read that but it is true, just look at what the Pope said last year in relation to same-sex marriage being a threat to creation “Creatures differ from one another and can be protected, or endangered, in different ways, as we know from daily experience. One such attack comes from laws or proposals which, in the name of fighting discrimination, strike at the biological basis of the difference between the sexes,”. This is a man who heads an international organisation that over the centuries has, raped, murdered, abused and tortured an unknown number of women and children in its “care”, and the Pope has personally being involved with covering up abuse in German dioceses during the 80s, but for some weird reason he is seen by the establishment as a credible social and moral commentator who is only giving a “philosophical” view , but that is not the real problem , what the real problem is , is that a huge number of people look to this man for guidanceso when he says same-sex marriage is a threat to humanity some people in power and in the public believe it to be true so ultimately stand in the way of equality and human-rights, but they don’t see the illegalization of same-sex marriage and other LGBT rights as violations of Human rights because as I said at the start there still exists in most countries a system of institutionalized homophobia , whereas from childhood you are made to believe that any sexual orientation other than heterosexuality is abnormal and sick, even though science has shown this not to be the case.

In America we have right wing religious nut cases that in some political sections even call for LGBT people to be giving therapy to “straighten them out”, take the uneducated bigot that is Tea Party Presidential Candidate Michelle Bachman, whom up till a few weeks ago was one of the favourites to beat Barack Obama, she along with her “closeted homosexual” husband Marcus, run a clinic in their hometown that openly admits to performing therapy on LGBT people in order conform them to “heterosexual ways”. Here is a quote from Michelle Bachman in relation to LGBT people“Little children will be forced to learn that homosexuality is normal and natural and perhaps they should try it.”, This is an exact quote from a person who could possibly become the most powerful person in the world, Yet she openly promotes violations of her own citizens rights because she believes their human rights is against her religious beliefs , even though anyone who reads the bible will find Jesus Christ never mentioned homosexuality once, the Christian views on homosexuality where devised between 200-400AD By men who never knew Jesus and took the Roman Empires view against homosexuality which was the ideology at that time.

In my home country of Ireland it was illegal to be LGBT up until 1993 after the government was forced to decriminalize same sex relations after human rights activist David Norris won a 1988 court case against the Irish governments illegalization of same-sex relations, now 18 years later the man who made it legal to be gay in Ireland is favourite to be elected President of Ireland, Proof we have come a long way but we still have a way to go, it is still illegal for same-sex marriage , it is still illegal for gay or bisexual men to donate blood because of possible sexually transmitted disease, even though scientific research has proven this to be a false belief and that it is possible for gay and bisexual men to donate blood as long as they have not had sexual intercourse in 6weeks. This scientific fact has resulted in Britain legalising gay and bisexual blood donations from people void of sex for 2 months. Imagine this, as an Irish citizen if my mother or any other family member was terminally ill and required a blood transfusion from me, I would not be allowed, because I am gay, so ultimately if I am the only person with the same type Blood then the terminally ill relative will be left to die by the system because the establishment thinks my blood is filthy and refuses to open its ignorant eyes to reality and award me rights I shouldn’t be forced to fight for.

It is illegal in most countries for LGBT couples to adopt children as a couple, a violation of the right to parenthood. This policy is upheld by twisting facts to present an argument that LGBT couples are a danger to young children and that children of a LGBT relationship will grow up to be mentally disturbed. Both these ludicrous claims are complete falsehoods created to smear and deny the human rights of LGBT people, It is well accepted amongst social intellects that children of LGBT couples are in less danger than that of heterosexual couples, It is also accepted that the mental state of adolescent children in LGBT family’s is more stable and happy than that of children of heterosexual couples.

The reality is that the majority of all western societies are fully tolerant of LGBT rights, but it is the elite in society who constantly deny our rights, From politicians to church leaders to mainstream media they all collaborate to manipulate democracy so that the views of the majority of the public are ignored in favour of an elitist view that is presented as the voice of the majority but in reality is the voice of the bigoted minority, If citizens had any control over their societies then LGBT rights would be guaranteed long ago, It is time that all progressive and public organisations, LGBT and heterosexual unite to pressurise world governments into accepting the majority view and normalize the public’s view LGBT sexual orientation, Because as long as we criminalize certain aspects of the LGBT lifestyle then we are telling society it is okay to be ignorant and hateful towards LGBT people. This kind of isolation and demonization over the decades has resulted in hundreds of young people committing suicide believing it to be the only way to escape the constant bullying that persists in all societies because of institutionalized discrimination, this outdated policy has also resulted in hundreds of people being murdered, injured, humiliated etc. All because they were born with a sexual orientation that is not the accepted orientation of heterosexuality, which the establishment has persisted in stating is the only natural orientation even though scientific research has proven this to be a falsehood. We need to stand up and not ask nicely or beg for our rights but demand our rights, for too long members of the LGBT community have faced unnecessary and illegal violations of our rights and still we stand quietly hoping that manners will get us our rights, false, We need to start a real grassroots political movement that 365 days a year lobby’s for the rights of LGBT members, Gay Pride is all well and good for enjoying ourselves but it won’t get us our rights, because it is a week of celebrations that once over, results in LGBT concerns fading into the background like any other political deviant to the establishment fades into the background after it makes a short point, As I said we need a REAL dedicated, radical activist movement that every day of the year pressures the government on LGBT rights, We need more open LGBT members in government advocating our rights, We as a unit are a powerful political and social force and we must realise this, If we all united under the one political banner I can guarantee you that every political party will come to us begging for our political support through votes in return for our rights, The LGBT community has many ways to use its power to guarantee our rights but still we have not bothered to use our best weapons, instead we use gay pride, and although I am not complaining about pride and I think it is a great fun expression of our community, I am saying that it won’t get us our rights, a few floats, drag queens and men dressed ultra-camp will not convince any government or public to legalise LGBT rights instead I believe it discredits our cause by portraying the LGBT in a overtly stereotypical way,We need to start being serious in our fight for equality , we can no longer go around portraying a stereotype that the elitists use to discredit our case in the eyes of the public. A system of pure political activism should be the way, led by LGBT and heterosexual people united in the name of equality just like black and white were united in the civil rights movement of the 60s, It is only then when we are portrayed as serious activists and bring our fight to the top that we will win our rights, and that day hopefully will be soon because as I write this people around the globe are starting to put their activism into serious powerful LGBT political organisations, and with a new found enthusiasm since the New York legalization we can now begin to look forward to the day when we are recognised as equal citizens in all aspects. Just let’s hope it’s soon or else!!

As the headline suggests in this article I will explain from my view why I am an Anarcho-Sydicalist and the benefits to democracy, freedom and equality I believe Anarcho-sydicalism can have. I am also an Internationalist, You might say can an Anarcho-Syndicalist be an Internationalist also? Of course! I say this because when people think of internationalism as an ideology they think of a conspiracy of evil amongst the right-wing neo-cons who are trying to create a one world government. True internationalism is not a right wing evil conspiracy, it is a fundamental believe stemming from the foundation of socialism and workers movements, the belief of a world society working for one another in harmony, a world society where armed forces are unnecessary and where war is a thing of the past, a belief that without the armed forces of the bourgeois that human society would be at peace through individual responsibility

In my view at current society is controlled through the labour market by exploitation, manipulation and domination of workers. In an Anarcho-Syndicalist society Laws, company’s, communities and regions etc. would be controlled by committees of workers, community leaders, trade union leaders and scholars with the task of meeting their community’s needs, this system would wipe out the need for one overall centralised government, a place where unprecedented corruption takes place because of a beleif they don’t have to account for their actions.

Internationalism combined with anarcho-syndicalism also has the benefit of not producing unnecessary products and wasting precious natural resources like that of the current capitalist system, these un-wasted natural recourses from all nations would easily result in reducing world starvation and poverty , something which capitalism has utterly failed to deal with, and in some respects has actually helped to cause.

Militarily it would totally wipe out the need for armed forces of any kind including the police force, because at current armed forces are only used for blindly upholding the interests of the rich, a situation which ultimately kills and injures millions of people the majority being extremely poor. In this society the authority of responsibility would be laid on individually or collectively as a community.

Of course their will be still laws of society but instead of these laws being enforced by an internal centralized force of of domination, they would be upheld by individuals and community’s with an equal legal representation in crimes committed. A society were free love is the norm , where the stigma attached to labels such as homosexuality or trans-gendered would be a thing of the capitalist past, also there would be the legal use of drugs because of the view I take on individual freedom, but any laws broken under the influence of drug use will be punished just like any law broken under the influence of alcohol or any law broken by someone not under the influence of any drug, simple double standards.

I must make the point clear that I am not suggesting we should all dismantle every part of society and go back and live like they did 1000 years ago, I’m suggesting a society where we continue our living modernly and continue our technological advancements but the control over such decisions of human importance are put in the hands of the people through regional committees based on equal social ownership, equal social production and equal social justice with an international view that humanity is one, where we exist by living and working for one another without war and murder.

Instead of the usual pointing out of the wrongs in the current system of Crony-Capitalism and there is many, I will instead focus on what Anarcho-Syndicalism’s alternative is. Anarcho-Syndicalist’s believe that government is an unjustified authority therefore it should be dismantled in favour of a more democratic system. Our system would completely wipe-out all government installations and replace them with systems of highly organised community committees consisting of trade union leaders, workers, community leaders and scholars all working for the community as a whole and not just themselves.This kind of co-operation between union and community leaders, workers and scholars would reach a regional and national level which would consist of members from each community, but regional and national committees would have no power over any communities their purpose would be to solely represent territories on the international stage in things such as community trade with international traders, they would have no power to make policies or anything of such that would perceive them as a centralised government they are simply their communities voice internationally.

Communities would be highly organised controlling their police force, courts, laws, education and company’s through a system of equality where in a court money doesn’t talk so every man victim and convict would have an equal say and equal use of the law , where company’s instead of having one extremely rich owner are owned and run by the workers, so the workers instead of only making 10-20% of their produce make 100%, in these company’s say it’s a toy company, well the person who makes the deals and does all the office work makes the same wage as the person who packs the boxes ,why? Well because they both own the same amount of shares in the company therefore make the same profit. It is simply the dismantling of private ownership of the means of production and placing the means of production into workers hands for the benefit of communities’.

Police force i even hesitate to use the word police force since it conjures up thoughts of authority, but the police force I imagine is one run by the community only having justified authority, as in if a woman is walking home at night and she is being raped and a police officer sees it then he can stop it because that’s an authority that can be justified but if a person is smoking marijuana or doing something that only affects the person then the police officer cannot step in to prevent it because that is an unjustified authority, the authority in that situation is the person and the person only.

In education schools and universities would be set up through communities using the profits of the self owned means of production. It will insure every person goes to school and university on a free basis, with teachers and university deans being elected by a community education committee. It would be quite the same with health, all hospitals and medical centres would be based also in each community set up and run by the community with the doctors and other medical employees being picked by a community committee, after all if every child in the community gets free university education then you are bound to produce high level doctors, teachers, leaders and so on,

Drug use would be legalised and any other self indulging practice that only involves effects on the person practicing it, again if a person is smoking marijuana then that is legal but if a person or persons is forcing another person to smoke marijuana against their will then that wouldbe illegal because it is a expression of unjustified authority

National defence, well in the world I envisage Anarcho-syndicalism would be globally so there would be no need for national defence because there would be no war, the people will have the power over their resources so there would be no need to use military war to control a monopoly over global resources as is the current choice, But if we were unable to make A-S globally then the need for a national defence would be based on voluntary actions from citizens and looked over by a national committee of representatives of each community but the military force would solely be for defence never aggression because A-S is a pacifist ideology , which means every option will be taken to avoid military conflict.

The above is just a brief outline of some policies I would support in order to make society more equal, humane, peaceful and educated. It is not much so do not start giving me hassle I understand I left out a lot but read the title, it says “A Brief” Manifesto. Thanks for reading; I hope I made you think about something.

Here I will try and explain my view of how western capitalism started, conducted and succeeded in overthrowing a non capitalist Arab government in an oil rich country where great profits are to be made.

It all started many years ago but it was not till the people of Tunisia decided to rebel against their authoritarian regime, that the western capitalists got their opportunity to finally overthrow “some” Arab governments especially the authoritarian regimes in oil rich countries like Libya. Why did the western capitalists want to overthrow such regimes? well simple the region where these regimes exist is the most oil resourceful region in the world, and many of these Arab leaders refused to allow western companies to be involved in the production and selling of the oil in theses Arab nations; instead like that of the Libyan case, the oil was kept in the control of the Arab governments usually only resulting in making the main leaders extremely rich.

This decision by Arab leaders to snub the western capitalists ultimately resulted in their downfall. Just look at the price of oil today! before Gaddafi fell the price of oil was extremely high in the west because of a decrease in production and resources but now since Gaddafi has fallen and the west can now get its hands on Libyan oil the prices have immediately gone down, something which reminded me of the Iraq war, when the United States invaded Iraq oil prices plummeted because of the new resource of oil. Another clear case of Capitalist interest in these Arab revolutions is the fact the only countries it is interested in is oil countries, the west has given no help to the Syrian people, not only because they fear Syria but because Syria is not an Oil producing country. This lack of double standards towards democracy is also evident in the western media’s coverage of the middle-east conflicts and their coverage of similar events happening in the western world.

In the western world people like the “Arab Revolutionaries” are described as thugs hooligans and criminals, why? because in the west working people rebelling through rioting is a threat to the established capitalist government and the capitalist economic system so the best way to discredit these western working peoples legitimate concerns is to describe them as “mindless thugs”, criminals and gangsters. But in the middle-east the same kind of people are described as revolutionaries because they are working for capitalism which means they get full freedom and legitimacy in the mass media.

All this sleazy capitalist interest is evident if you have a basic knowledge of politics and capitalism and if you open your eyes to the truth. This new National Transitional Committee I can assure you have being for months holding secret talks with the big western media and oil companies to create a deal whereas the west will give the Arab Revolutionaries full support in the western media and the western political scene, on the condition the revolutionaries give western countries access to Libya’s oil resources. I previously wrote a related article on how sky news and NewsCorp in general have covered the Libyan conflict to show how the mass media can generate manufactured consent amongst the public by telling half truths and biased reporting which has being a key tool in the media war on Libya. If you take the time to look you will easily see this sleazy politics are involved in this current war in Libya.

I must make the point clear I do not support Gaddafi I just support the media doing its job properly and not helping to cover up the true reasons of the west support for such revolutions. I would be happy if the Libyan’s kept full control of their resources especially the oil but if history is anything to go by then i can be confident that the west is only interested in the oil and not the rights of the Libyan’s, If they really cared about the Libyan’s then why did it take over 30years for them to do anything against Gaddafi ? simply because up till the financial recession the west didn’t need Libya’s oil.

Netanyahu and Mubarak

It is 6 months since the overthrow of the American and Israeli backed Egyptian authoritarian regime of Hosni Mubarak by a people’s revolution. During the Mubarak regime Egyptian politics was a cold house for pro-Palestinian activists because of a peace deal between Israel and the powers that ran Egypt back in the 1970s. Since then it has being almost impossible to gather Pro-Palestinian consensus amongst the Powers in Egypt, especially since the start of the Mubarak regime in 1981.

Mubarak’s regime was highly supportive of Israel since its inception, especially when you consider the regimes lack of double standards when it came to Israeli Terrorism versus Palestinian terrorism, Its support and implementation of the blockade of Gaza because of Palestinian rocket attacks into Israel is evidence of double standards because they helped punish an entire people for a minority’s military attacks, while they sat back and done nothing when Israel committed war-crimes in Gaza.

He refused to allow humanitarian aid to pass easily through Egypt, the times it did pass through was because of hardened no-nonsense international activists. The Mubarak regime assisted Israel in punishing the Palestinian people and prolonging the conflict that still last to this day.

But now the Mubarak regime is gone and there is a new “peoples” government will the decade’s old unmentioned war on the Palestinians end? Will the blockade of Gaze on the Egyptian side be lifted by this new popular pro-Palestinian government in order to free and help the brothers in Palestine? And will it then force Israel and America to rethink their policy on Palestine and call for peace, after all Egypt is a big powerful player in the middle east and they are of American and Israeli economic and strategic interests. Or will Israel and America get it their way once again and force the new Egyptian government into upholding the blockade of Gaza and the old Mubarak regimes policies?

If the new Egyptian government has any leadership within it then they will stand up to Israel and America so they can end the blockade of Gaza and bring a little hope to the abandoned people of Palestine. With the international community behind them the new Egyptian government should force Israel into finally having to accept United Nations law and adopt resolution 242 which calls for an end to the conflict based on a 2 state resolution with Israel returning to its pre 1967 borders with the exception of west Jerusalem. If they don’t use their sovereignty then the Israel/Palestine conflict will continue and innocent people will continue to suffer because of politician’s cowardice.
